‘Violet’-the colour of imagination, magic and creativity…….!!!!

A day dedicated to the Violet colour was marked by the students of National Public School
Chikkabanavara on the 17 th of December 2021.Various activities were conducted both online
and offline to reiterate the significance of the Violet colour. The Teachers of Grade I & II
shared a Power Point with the students giving them a brief explanation about the health
benefits of fruits and vegetables that are violet in colour. The students of Grade III-V were
told about the benefits and uses of onions, beetroot and eggplant etc. They were also told
about the flags of different countries that have violet colour in them, famous paintings in
violet colour and exotic sea creatures that are violet in colour. The ADMP classes had
discussion on the American Football Team ‘The Minnesota Vikings’ Violet Jerseys. Grades
VI-XII students had discussion on the uses of ultra violet rays, various icons in violet colour,
explanation about potassium element which is violet in colour, efficacy of Viola Odorata
flower decoction in chronic rhinosinusitis, poem on the description of Violet Flower by Jane
Taylor etc.

Colours have a positive effect on our lives. Violet colour has the harmonious combination of
tranquil blue and red. The Violet Colour Day created a refreshing aura among the students
and was a great learning experience too.
