KERALA FLOOD RELIEF FUND

Students , parents and teachers got together to contribute towards relief operations for flood hit Kerala. Together the school collected and donated essentials like sleeping mats, bed sheets, blankets, toothpaste, toothbrush, washing and bathing soaps, sanitary napkins and diapers, bath tubs, mineral water bottles, salt, sugar, rice, dal and ORS packets. These were dispatched to the disaster struck area. Our community of educators, students and parents were very keen and generous in contributing towards relief operations

The school is thankful to Mr.Sam, the Music Teacher who had been there throughout in dispatch and distribution of materials in Kerala and the rehabilitation centre who helped in transporting the materials.

SCHOLASTIC LITERARY WEEK

To promote the habit of reading in children, Scholastic Book Fair was organized in the school from 6th to 9th August 2018.The book fair which was hosted in the activity room corridor, brought a wide variety of books for children of all ages .The children hustled and bustled around the fair with lots of excitement, picking up every book they could get hold of.

In addition to the display of books, an exciting environment was created with other activities such as join the dots and colour it for grade 3, designing a new cover page for Geronimo Stilton for grades 4 and 5 and on the last day of the fair, Ms.Swapna Dutta, a famous author was invited. Students of grade 6 to 12 took part in a session with the author and were explained about the importance of reading books and creative writing. Each day a student was awarded with a book in the lucky draw. On the whole, the book fair was a grand success.
