SPORTS DAY 2 2022-23

National Public School, Chikkabanavara conducted its Sports Meet 2022-2023 on the 17th of December 2022 for the students of Grades VI-XII. Dr M.A Saleem, IPS Special Commissioner, Traffic was the Chief Guest on this Occasion. The Meet began with the invocation song rendered by the school choir. The events began with the Torch Relay wherein the Olympic flame was passed on by Daksh Singh of Grade 12 to Vineeth Srinivasa of Grade IX-A followed by Master Soumil of Grade X-A and Anakha of Grade X-A and finally to the Sports Captain Shiva D.S of Grade XI-A The torch lighting ceremony stirred up the feelings of pride and sportsmanship amongst the participants. This was followed by a March Past of the four Houses, which symbolised uniformity and discipline.


The Sports Meet 2022-2023 was declared open by the Chief Guest and a bunch of balloons were released into the sky representing the spirit of goodwill and sportsmanship.


Spectacular P.T drills performed by the four Houses involved maximum student participation. The morning also witnessed more displays such as the Yoga Display with their feat of balance and flexibility and the rather formidable Taekwondo Drill. This was entailed by the races wherein the participants participated with full verve and vigour. The students competed in variety of races.


The enthusiasm among the parents who were gathered in large numbers, encouraged the students to participate with full zeal. Their constant applauding ensured that the students gave their maximum.
EOS House emerged as the top scoring house by bagging the most number of points which helped them winning the Rolling Trophy


In the Closing Ceremony the School Flag was handed over to the Principal, after a Slow March, by the school leaders. The lit flame was put off with the Beating of the Retreat.
The Meet saw its culmination with the National Anthem.
