(World Music Day)


“Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind,
flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
World Music Day is observed globally on 21st June every year to honour musicians and singers all over the world. Music has healing power. Music can make you feel happier, calmer and more relaxed. NPS, Chikkabanavara believes Music should be a part of a child’s process of growing up. To immortalize this occasion for the students of NPS Chikkabanavara, our music teachers from Furtados School of Music along with the school choir performed together on ‘Hall of Fame’ followed by Solo instrumental by Master Dhruv of Grade VII B and Master Ved Srikanth of Grade X B on the Keyboard.
Next in the string of events we had Maahika of Grade III A who mesmerized us with a soulful classical Kannada song which was followed by a duet by two of our talented teachers, Ms. Pratibha and Ms. Keerthi who hypnotized us with a melodious number in Kannada.
“A teacher affects eternity; he/she can never tell where his/her influence stops.” Ms. Madhura Prashanth a teacher and influencer with a flute in her hand enthralled us with a rhythmic number. A Gujarati folk song was sung by Ms. Drashti followed by a solo song by Mr. Gideon of Furtados School of Music.
To sum up, The Music Day celebration gave the children an opportunity to relax and express themselves. It was an enjoyable experience for all the children. The celebration concluded on a cheerful note with a Thank You song sung in different languages by Prakriti Dwivedi and Meby Susan John of Grade XII.
