Kannada Rajyotsava is an important cultural and historical celebration which marks the formation of the state of Karnataka on November 1, 1956. At National Public School, Chikkabanavara we celebrated this day with great fervour and enthusiasm.

The highlight of the celebration was a special assembly conducted by our students which began with a prayer song in Kannada followed by a Thought and Speech on the significance of the day. The students also recited a poem by the famous Kannada poet Manku Thimmana Kagga and elucidated the meaning. The assembly culminated with the State Anthem followed by the vote of thanks in Kannada.

On this special day, students and teachers were dressed in shades of red and yellow depicting the colours on the flag of Karnataka, which added to the overall cultural ambience of the celebration. Kannada Rajyotsava celebration in our school is a reflection of the love and respect we have for our state’s culture, heritage, and language.
