Career Counselling plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of students by helping them make informed decisions about their academic and professional paths. In a rapidly evolving global landscape, where career options are diverse and the job market is competitive, effective career counselling becomes indispensable for students seeking clarity and direction.
We at National Public School, Ckbnr understand the crucial need for students to receive proper guidance in making informed career choices. Hence, a session on Career Counselling was organised for the students of Grades IX to XII in collaboration with Mindmap Associates. Ms. Chandra and Ms. Tilottama Chatterjee, Co-founders of Minmap Associates delved into trending career options, providing valuable insights into courses, colleges, and emerging career paths. One of the primary objectives of this workshop is to assist the students to identify their strengths, interests, and values.
Parents and students were actively engaged, infusing the session with liveliness. Key topics encompassed the distinctions between profession, career and job, the significance of career counselling, steps in career planning (PRNCS), SMART goals, and the CASA framework. Profile building myths and steps (PACE) were discussed, underscoring the importance of constructing a robust profile.
As students embark on their career paths, the guidance received during the counselling process becomes a valuable asset in achieving long-term success and fulfilment.
