MATHEMATICS :  

Place value- The position of each digit in a number was introduced as ones and tens. Children were able to understand the left digit is in the tens place and the right digit is in the ones place.

An activity was conducted to reinforce the concept of place value using ice-cream sticks.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE:

  1. Topic : Home– To reinforce the vocabulary of house hold objects and rooms in a house, “design the room” was conducted where students designed their perfect living room, bath room, kitchen etc and discussed amongst their friends in the group.

2.Topic :Transport-( Row Row Row your boat and see whether it can sail !) Children were taught to make a simple origami of a boat using old newspaper and the same was stuck in their activity notebook.
