WHEN FEELINGS SPEAK – EXPLORING ANGER & EXCITEMENT 2026-27

“Every emotion has a story to tell; learning to understand our feelings helps us choose how we respond.”
On Friday, the 28th of August 2026, the Spectrum of Emotions journey continued with an engaging exploration of two powerful emotions – Anger and Excitement. Students from Pre-Primary to Grade II came together for a special assembly that encouraged them to recognise, express and manage their emotions in healthy and meaningful ways.
The assembly came alive with an energetic action song on excitement, beautifully presented by the KG I teachers and children. Their enthusiasm, lively movements and infectious energy filled the atmosphere with smiles and excitement, making the performance a delightful experience for everyone.
The KG II children presented a thoughtful short skit on anger, demonstrating how anger can affect our actions and relationships and more importantly, how we can learn to manage it. Through the skit, children were encouraged to pause, understand what they are feeling and choose calmer and kinder ways to respond.
The learning continued beyond the assembly with age-appropriate group activities for Nursery and KG I, giving children opportunities to explore the month’s emotions through joyful and interactive experiences. Thoughtfully planned takeaways were also sent home across the different segments, allowing children to carry the month’s learning beyond the classroom and revisit the concepts with their families.
The celebration beautifully reinforced an important message: all emotions are valid, but how we express and manage them matters. Through music, movement, role-play, activities and meaningful conversations, Spectrum of Emotions continues to create a safe and joyful space where children can understand their feelings and grow into emotionally aware and confident individuals.
