The Inter-House Debate Competition for students of Grades IX to XII was held on 30th June 2026 in the school auditorium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the houses, with students showcasing their confidence, critical thinking and exceptional oratory skills.
Our Senior School Principal, Ms. Priyanka Suresh and the Guest Judge, Mr. Jayanth Himachala, an advocate practicing before various courts, graced the programme. Their presence added great value to the event, and they meticulously evaluated the participants based on content, clarity, confidence, rebuttal and presentation.

The competition featured two thought-provoking topics:

” Is the attention economy destroying the creativity of young minds?” and ” The future belongs to Adaptable Minds, not just Intelligent Minds.”
The participants presented compelling arguments both for and against the motions. Their well-researched points, powerful rebuttals and confident delivery created an intellectually stimulating atmosphere that truly set the stage ablaze.

At the end of the competition, both the judges shared their observations and words of encouragement. They commended the students for their remarkable preparation, analytical thinking and confident presentation.

The Senior School Principal, Ms. Priyanka Suresh, then announced the much-awaited results. Athena House and Eos House were declared the Best Debating Houses. The Best Speaker Awards were also announced to the most outstanding speakers.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the members involved in making the competition a grand success. The programme ended on a high note, celebrating the spirit of healthy competition, teamwork and intellectual excellence.
