THEME OF THE MONTH – THE ELEMENT WATER – 2025-26

“Water is life’s matter and matrix, mother and medium. There is no life without water.”
As part of this month’s ongoing exploration of the Elements, the concept of Water was introduced to the children on Friday, the 31st of October. This learning followed their discovery of the elements Earth and Air, deepening their understanding of the natural world around them.
Children engaged in meaningful discussions about the sources and uses of water, learning how essential it is to every living being. To make the experience hands-on and engaging, a variety of interactive activities and water-based games were conducted including squeezing sponges and picking rubber bands using skewers from a bowl of water. These activities helped children observe and appreciate the properties and importance of water in a fun and experiential way.
Teachers designed large-scale models of rain, wells, ponds and lakes, transforming the school environment into a lively and educational space. To reflect the theme, both children and teachers came dressed in various shades of blue, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
The day also featured group activities with KG-I children collaborating on creative group projects, while KG-II children were engaged in banner making sessions and performed a role play on saving water, highlighting the importance of water conservation. Parents were also part of the experience, joining the children in the heartfelt slogan, “Save Water, Save Life.”
The event successfully combined learning with creativity, leaving children with a lasting appreciation for water, one of life’s most precious elements.
