THEME OF THE MONTH (JUNE) 2025-26

“The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth.”

As part of this year’s enriching theme of the Five Elements, our school began its journey with the first and most grounding element – Earth (Prithvi). Each element will be celebrated over a span of two months, allowing students to explore and connect with the essence of nature in meaningful ways.

On Friday, the 27th of June 2025, we celebrated Prithvi – the element of Earth, symbolising stability, nourishment and life. The campus reflected earthy vibrance as students and teachers dressed in shades of brown, representing soil – the cradle of all growth.

Class-wise group activities encouraged collaboration and curiosity as children learned about soil, farming, composting, trees and their vital role in maintaining ecological balance. Through storytelling, artwork and discussions, students reflected on their relationship with the Earth and how they can be better caretakers of the planet.

A memorable moment of the day was the creation of a large, symbolic art display featuring a tree holding the Earth at its centre, titled “We All Belong to One Earth.” Each student and teacher placed a palm print on the tree, symbolising their love and shared responsibility towards our planet. The visual was both powerful and heartwarming – a reminder that we are all rooted in the same Earth.

Teachers and students also shared reflections and insights on how small acts – like planting trees, avoiding plastic and conserving water can create a big impact. These moments were not just educational, but deeply emotional, as children understood that Prithvi is not just an element, but a giver of life.
This celebration marked just the beginning.

The theme of Earth (Prithvi) will continue through the month of July, with students engaging in daily reflections, class discussions and hands-on activities centred around our planet. Each day will offer opportunities to deepen their understanding, appreciation and commitment to caring for the Earth – nurturing not only the soil beneath their feet but also the sense of responsibility blooming within their hearts.

It was indeed a soulful beginning to a year-long journey through the elements, planting seeds of mindfulness, gratitude and environmental protection in every young heart.
