“Every seed sown today is a promise for a greener tomorrow”
In celebration of the Earth Element, the entire school came together for a vibrant and meaningful event on Thursday, the 24th of July 2025. The campus buzzed with earthy energy as teachers across all grades donned shades of yellow symbolising warmth, sunshine and the nurturing nature of Mother Earth.
A special assembly was conducted for students from Pre-Primary to Grade 5, setting the tone for the day’s celebration. Students of Grades I and II shared heartfelt messages, expressing their love and concern for Mother Earth with clarity and confidence that deeply moved the audience.
A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of a small green patch within the school premises, envisioned as a vegetable and fruit garden. This beautiful initiative was led by the Principal of the Senior School and the Principal of the Junior School, who planted the first saplings, symbolising a new beginning rooted in sustainability and environmental awareness.
The entire teaching and administrative team joined hands, quite literally, as they rolled up their sleeves and planted a variety of seeds and saplings alongside the children. Students from Playgroup to Grade II were thrilled to dig their hands into the soil, walk barefoot on the earth and experience the joy of gardening firsthand. It was a powerful sensory and emotional experience, bringing them closer to nature in the most organic way.
Children excitedly sowed seeds of tomato, capsicum, chilli, coriander, spinach, basil, custard apple and many more, nurturing not just plants, but their own understanding of sustainability and environmental care.
The day not only celebrated the element of Earth but also instilled a sense of responsibility in the young minds to protect, preserve and respect the planet they call home. The spirit of togetherness, learning by doing and reconnecting with nature made this celebration truly unforgettable.
