Makar Sankranti is believed traditionally to mark the arrival of spring in India. As it is the festival of the Sun God who is regarded as the symbol of divinity and wisdom.

Sankranti was celebrated by the students of the Pre-Primary on the 13th of January 2023 with gaiety. The Pre- Primary block was decorated with kites, rangoli, flowers, sweets and the yield of the season – Sugarcane, Sweet potatoes and Rice. The students came dressed in the traditional dress of different states and spoke on how the festival is celebrated in various states.They then danced to the beats of a famous Kannada song.
