PARENT ORIENTATION (JUNIOR SCHOOL) 2025-26

National Public School, Chikkabanavara, hosted a Parent Orientation Programme for parents of students
from Pre-Primary to Grade V on Thursday, the 22nd of May 2025. The session aimed to foster a strong
collaborative partnership between the school and parents by familiarising them with the school’s ethos,
academic framework and developmental goals for the new academic year.
The programme began with a warm welcome and ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising the beginning of
an enlightening journey. The Section Heads commenced the session by introducing the school’s vision,
mission and core values, reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing every child’s potential.
The Junior School Principal, Ms. Rajee Samjith and the Senior School Principal, Ms. Priyanka Suresh,
addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of parental involvement in the holistic
development of children. They highlighted the school’s vision for the year ahead and underscored the
critical role parents play in supporting and enhancing their child’s academic and emotional growth. Both
Principals encouraged open communication and a collaborative approach to ensure each child thrives in a
safe, supportive and engaging learning environment.
The session continued with detailed presentations by the Section Heads from each grade, who provided an
overview of the curriculum, key learning objectives, classroom expectations and teaching methodologies.
Special focus was given to the use of experiential and activity-based learning, especially in the early years,
to promote well-rounded development.
Parents were also introduced to the school’s assessment structure, communication protocols, co-curricular
activities and other support systems in place. Additionally, important school policies and health and safety
guidelines were shared, along with ways for parents to stay actively involved in their child’s educational
journey.
The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where parents shared their thoughts and
received clarifications on various aspects of school life. The orientation served as a valuable platform for
building a strong parent-school partnership and set a positive tone for a fruitful and enriching academic
year ahead.
