“When schools and families work together, children thrive.” An insightful and interactive Curriculum Overview Session was conducted for the parents of Nursery, KG I and KG II students on Saturday, the 14th of June 2025, at National Public School, Chikkabanavara. The session served as a valuable platform to strengthen the partnership between parents and educators, with the shared goal of supporting every child’s holistic development.
During the session, teachers walked parents through the curriculum, offering a detailed explanation of how each subject is introduced and taught in the early years. From foundational literacy and numeracy to life skills and thematic learning, parents gained a clear understanding of the methods and strategies used in the classroom. Important school rules and guidelines were also reiterated to ensure consistency and cooperation between home and school.
What made the session truly memorable was the enthusiastic participation of the parents, who stepped into their children’s shoes – quite literally! From singing action songs to engaging in fun classroom routines, parents embraced the experience with childlike joy. Many remarked that they hadn’t had so much fun in a long time! It was a session filled with learning, laughter and reflection – a powerful reminder that when parents and teachers work hand-in-hand, every child benefits. The school looks forward to nurturing this partnership throughout the year.
