“A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.”
National Public School, Chikkabanavara organized an orientation programme on 26th May 2023, for the new set of parents to familiarize them, “as partners in progress” with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities.
The parents were briefed about the rules and regulations of the school. The Vice-Principal Mrs. Priyanka Singh gave a brief introduction on NEP. The Section Heads gave an overview of the various subjects and the activities. They also discussed the co-scholastic activities that gave the parents an idea of the curriculum which is self-directed with hands-on learning activities that not only give our students a medium to fully utilize their creative talents, but also help them in their all-round development.
It was followed by a session taken by the school Counsellor on effective parenting. The Academic Director and Principal Mrs. Mary Thomas addressed the parents and their queries.
