India observes the National Mathematics Day every year on 22ndDecember. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The main objective behind the celebration of National Mathematics Day is to make people aware of the development of mathematics and its importance in the growth of humanity.
Maths can be fun,challenging,hands on and applicable in real life. To celebrate the spirit of Mathematical Learning the students of National Public School, Chikkabanavara were engaged in some fun filled activities like shortcuts using Vedic Maths, explore maths with art. A skit on the importance of Mathematics in our day-to-day life and speeches on the magical concepts of some famous mathematicians were conducted online. The teachers of Grades I -V took the initiative to generate curiosity and interest among the young learners by organising online quizzes, Math Hack Activities, Hands on fraction activities circumference Discovery Lab etc.
