MAKAR SANKRANTI CELEBRATION 2025-26

“Festivals are a beautiful way of teaching children unity in diversity.”

Makar Sankranti was joyfully celebrated on Wednesday, the 14th of January 2026, bringing vibrant cultural colours and festive enthusiasm to our Pre-Primary campus. Children arrived dressed in traditional ethnic attire, reflecting the rich heritage of our country.

A special assembly was conducted to help students understand how Makar Sankranti is celebrated across different parts of India, highlighting festivals such as Lohri, Bihu and Pongal. KG-II students confidently spoke about the unique customs and traditions followed in each state, making the session informative and engaging.

Adding to the celebrations, KG-I students performed a beautiful Sankranti-themed dance, filling the atmosphere with joy and rhythm. To deepen understanding, teachers along with Nursery students presented a role play that clearly explained the significance and meaning behind the festival.

The celebration was a wonderful learning experience, helping children appreciate India’s cultural diversity while enjoying the festive spirit together. The day concluded with smiles, learning and a strong sense of unity among the young learners.
