The spirit of patriotism and unity reverberated through the corridors of National Public School, Ckbnr as it celebrated India’s 77th Independence Day commemorating 76 years of Independence, with unparalleled enthusiasm and fervour. The school premises were adorned with tricolour decorations, and the air was filled with a sense of pride and joy.
The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the Academic Director and Principal Mrs. Mary Thomas, accompanied by Mr. H. R. Kiran, Secretary, R R Group of Institutions and escorted by the PE teachers. The tricolour fluttered proudly in the gentle breeze, symbolizing the sacrifices made by our forefathers for the freedom we cherish today. The Academic Director and Principal Mrs. Mary Thomas also addressed the students on this occasion.
The School President Prakriti Dwivedi of Grade XII administered our national pledge which is our oath of allegiance to our nation, the Republic of India. She also delivered a speech that emphasized the importance of freedom, unity, and responsibility. She encouraged the students to remember the sacrifices of the past and contribute positively to the future of the country.
The cultural program that followed was a delightful showcase of talent, diversity, and love for the nation. The students’ performances were a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary expressions of patriotism.
The highlights of the cultural extravaganza included dance performances, from classical dance forms to energetic folk dances, that depicted India’s rich cultural heritage by students from various grades. The performances showcased the unity in diversity that defines our nation.
The school choir sang a medley of patriotic songs that filled the audience’s hearts with pride and nostalgia. From the soul-stirring renditions of the national anthem to iconic patriotic melodies, every note resonated with the essence of freedom.
Students wore tricolored t-shirts that correspond to the Indian flag colours and arranged themselves creating a visually accurate representation of the map, making sure that the saffron, white, and green colours were well-distributed throughout the map. The dance groups representing different states had positioned themselves in their respective zones. This created a visually appealing and colourful map.
