As part of the cultural week celebrations, National Public School, Chikkabanavara organised “Incredible India”, an inter-house cultural event celebrating the spirit and diversity of our nation. The four houses – Athena, Eos, Eirene and Nike – enthusiastically participated in a variety of competitions that showcased the richness of Indian folk traditions and culture.
Students from Grades VI to XII took part in performances ranging from solo instrumental themed Patriotism and folk songs to group singing and group dances, both Folk and Semi-classical. Each performance was choreographed and presented by the students themselves, making the event a true celebration of creativity, teamwork and talent. Staying true to the theme, all presentations reflected the vibrance of Indian folk art and culture, leaving the audience spellbound.
The event was judged by in-house teachers along with two of our alumni students, who faced the challenging task of selecting winners from among the many captivating performances. The best acts were chosen to perform during the Independence Day celebrations.
Both Ms. Priyanka Suresh, Principal (Senior School), and Ms. Rajee Samjith, Principal (Junior School), commended the participants for their outstanding efforts and applauded the choice of folk concepts, noting how apt and wisely selected they were. The results were finally announced by the Principal Senior School, bringing the event to a joyful close.
The “Incredible India” competitions highlighted the students’ talent and it was also a meaningful tribute to India’s cultural heritage, igniting patriotic fervour as the school prepared for Independence Day.
