ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATIONS AT NPS, CHIKKABANAVARA


Environment day was celebrated world wide on 5th June 2023.At our school it was celebrated on the same day wherein the main aim of the event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it.

The school conducted various activities for students across Pre-Primary to Grade XII. They prepared projects based on best out of waste and decorated the bulletin boards with ‘BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION’ as the theme. A special assembly was conducted on this occasion wherein a speech was delivered on how important it is for the future generations to take care of the environment and preserve it. A poem on Environment was written and recited by Aswathi Bimal of Grade XII. As a special drive for Environment Day, the students of Grade XII planted saplings in the school premises.

Students of the junior classes made paper bags, comic strips, and posters on the theme of Environment Day. The teachers from KG II enacted a play on the importance of saving trees and how the animals and birds would be affected without trees. The day came to an end with the students taking a pledge to ‘Save Trees’ and ‘Save Nature’.
