NPS, Ckbnr celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on November 3rd with a special, culturally rich assembly. The celebration started with a welcome speech delivered by Parichay of Grade III. This was followed by Moulya of Grade V, speaking about the significance and importance of Kannada Rajyotsava.
Dhanvith from Grade IV shed light on the state’s traditional art forms by speaking about the vigorous Kamsale dance. Krushan from Grade V delivered a powerful recital of famous Vachanas, the profound poetic compositions of saint poet Basavanna.
The energy peaked as students from Grade IX and X brought the stage alive with a short, humorous and skilfully enacted Yakshagana skit, providing a perfect theatrical flourish to the programme.
Following the individual recitations, the school choir presented a group song, celebrating the beauty of Kannada language and commemorating the state’s remarkable achievements.
The event concluded on a high note with the entire school joining in the rendition of the state anthem, ‘Jaya Bharatha Jnaniya Tanujate’.
