A Salute to Freedom, A Promise for Tomorrow

With hearts brimming with pride and love for the nation, our Junior Segment—from Pre-Primary to Grade V—brought the spirit of patriotism to life in a vibrant celebration of India’s 80th Independence Day. The event stood as a touching tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our freedom fighters, whose legacy continues to illuminate the path to the India we cherish today.

The morning commenced with a solemn prayer, invoking blessings for the peace, progress and continuous prosperity of our motherland. Soon after, the stage illuminated with the boundless energy of our youngest stars. The tiny tots of KG I and KG II filled the atmosphere with sheer joy through their captivating dance performances, their innocence and enthusiasm beautifully reflecting an innate love for their country. Following this delightful display, Ms. Bidyastuti addressed the young learners, reminding them of the deep historical significance of the day and the core values that bind our diverse nation together. The Pre-Primary students then lent their proud, innocent voices to a soulful patriotic song that resonated throughout the hall.

The students of Grades I and II filled the stage with patriotic spirit through their lively song and dance performances. Building on the morning’s energy, the students of Grades III to V delivered a breathtakingly synchronized dance performance that captivated the audience. As the performance drew to a close, students dressed as freedom fighters took the stage, inspiring everyone with their powerful words and stirring presence. Their seamless coordination and spirited rhythm captured the very essence of India’s rich cultural tapestry and unity. With a moving vocal performance, the students of Grades I to V filled every heart with deep emotion and national pride.

Imparting wisdom to the young gathering, Ms. Rajee Samjith, Principal of the Junior School, shared a compelling message on the balance between liberty and duty. She inspired the children to recognize that true freedom flourishes alongside responsibility, reminding them that everyday acts of kindness, honesty, respect and care form the bedrock of a stronger nation.

More than a simple commemoration of history, the day served as a powerful reminder that the future of India resides in the hands of its youth. The celebration concluded in a swell of togetherness, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride, hope and a promise to carry the enduring values of freedom forward.
