Educational trips provide an opportunity to explore the world outside the classroom and are an excellent way to enhance the learning experience of students. On 16th August 2023, National Public School, Ckbnr organized an educational field trip to URSC (U.R. Rao Satellite Centre), a pioneering establishment under ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), for the students of Grades X, XI and XII, who were accompanied by the Science faculty. The trip aimed to provide students with insights into India’s achievements in Space Exploration and Science and Technology.
At URSC the students were first briefed about the significance and uses of satellites and how the Indian satellites were born at various ISRO institutions. They also had the opportunity to view the ‘CLEAN ROOM’ where the satellites are assembled and the payloads are tested.
Furthermore, the students also explored the various satellite models used for the Indian space missions, right from ARYABHATA up to CHANDRAYAAN-3, at the Space Exhibition Unit at URSC. The trip proved to be not only educational but also inspirational.
