NPS, Chikkabanavara campus resonated with melodies and rhythms as we celebrated World Music Day.
The musical morning commenced with the regular assembly, including the news headlines, positive affirmations, and a thoughtful talk on the significance of World Music Day presented by students. The atmosphere soon transformed into a vibrant celebration of music with a delightful musical performance by our primary students, who captivated the audience with their enthusiasm and talent.
Adding a special touch to the event, Aarti D.P. of Grade X mesmerised the gathering with a song from her own original composition, showcasing her creativity and musical flair.
The School Band, Excalibur, further elevated the spirit of the occasion with their energetic beats and impressive performance. The audience was also treated to a soulful solo rendition by one of our music teachers, making the celebration even more memorable.
Addressing the assembly, Ms. Priyanka Suresh, Senior School Principal, inspired the gathering with her reflections on the beautiful harmony created when lyrics and music come together. She emphasised how melody has the power to heal the mind, soothe the soul and bring people together beyond boundaries. Junior School Principal, Ms. Rajee Samjith, shared her thoughts on how music can be a true friend to everyone, offering comfort, joy and companionship through every stage of life.
The World Music Day celebration was a wonderful reminder of the universal language of music and its ability to inspire, connect and enrich our lives.
