A CELEBRATION OF TOGETHERNESS – ONAM, EID & RAKSHA BANDHAN 2026-27

“Festivals bring us together, reminding us that joy grows when we celebrate, share and cherish one another.”
On Thursday, the 27th of August 2026, the Pre-Primary Wing celebrated the vibrant spirit of Onam, Eid and Raksha Bandhan with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration beautifully brought together the colours, traditions and values of three cherished festivals, creating a memorable experience for our little learners.
The school came alive with festive cheer as the children arrived dressed in colourful ethnic attire, while the teachers added to the traditional spirit of the occasion by adorning beautiful Onam sarees. A vibrant Pookalam added a beautiful touch to the celebrations, filling the surroundings with the charm and colours of Onam.
The children enthusiastically participated in an Onam dance, filling the atmosphere with rhythm and happiness. They also shared a few lines about Onam, Eid and Raksha Bandhan, learning about the significance and traditions associated with each festival in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.
Adding a special touch to the celebration, every child went home with a Rakhi lovingly tied around their wrist, symbolising love, care and the beautiful bonds we share with one another.
The festive learning continued in the classrooms as children creatively coloured worksheets featuring Onam and Eid-themed pictures, allowing them to explore the festivals through art and imagination.
The celebration was a delightful blend of culture, creativity, music and togetherness, helping our young learners appreciate India’s rich and diverse traditions. It was a day filled with vibrant colours, happy smiles and the beautiful message that every festival has a story to tell and a value to share.
