The 80th Independence Day was celebrated at NPS, Ckbnr with great fervour, patriotism and unity. The campus was adorned in tricolours as students, teachers and staff gathered to honour the spirit of freedom.

The event was graced by Sri. Y Raja Reddy, Chairman, NPS Ckbnr, along with Senior School Principal Ms. Priyanka Suresh, Junior School Principal Ms. Rajee Samjith and the PE Department. The most auspicious moment of the day was the Flag Hoisting, followed by the National Anthem and the National Song which filled everyone with pride.

Anagha P C of Grade IX delivered an inspiring speech highlighting National Security and Integration. Her words reminded us of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of standing united as one nation.

Adding to the patriotic fervour, a group song was sung by teachers and students that resonated across the assembly, celebrating the love for the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Priyanka Suresh, Senior School Principal, spoke about the true meaning of freedom. She shared examples of Indian entrepreneurs who are making India proud globally and motivated students to develop a real sense of patriotism through hard work and integrity.

Ms. Rajee Samjith, Junior School Principal, emphasised nationality and civic duty, urging every citizen to uphold the peace, harmony and serenity of the nation.

To ignite team spirit and sportsmanship, inter-house sports finals in Throw ball, Basketball and Football was conducted. The celebration concluded on a patriotic note, marking the end of a memorable day that instilled pride, responsibility and love for the country in every heart.
