“The rainbow is full of colours true Red is the heart of love for you Orange the warm midday sun Yellow your sunshine is smiles of fun Green is new life in the world all around Blue in the sky and the oceans round Indigo – the depth of the blue Violet-the completed rainbow true.”

Sometimes all you need is a little ‘Splash of Colour’. And that’s exactly what we at National Public, Chikkabanavara did on Rainbow Day that was celebrated on the 28th of January 2022.

Through the course of the day various activities were conducted online across all Grades from I-XII. Poems, Stories, Interesting Facts, Colouring and Drawing activities, Facts about the Rainbow River, Spin and Speak were a few that were conducted in the Primary Section. The students of the higher grades had subject related activities like Band widths of rainbow colours, dispersion of light through a prism, the reason behind footballers wearing rainbow colour arm bands, the importance of pH in everyday life, video on the advantages of Spectral Karyotyping, Rainbow Coloured Computer Network Plugs and SMPS Power Cable, Regaining the Rainbow-A Gene Therapy Approach to Colour Blindness.

The day saw many enriched minds infused with a new sense of understanding of the numerous facets of the rainbow.
