The school celebrated Environment Day with great fervour and gaiety on 5^th June 2018.  The speech delivered by Ms.Sukanya in the morning assembly, inspired the students to work collectively for the protection of Earth and emphasised on the need to build a greener world.  To observe World Environment Day in a unique manner, the school organized a series of activities.  Students of grades III – V, participated zealously in planting saplings, under the guidance of the Principal, Academic Director and Sports In charge.  The activity, ‘Best Out Of Waste,’ was immensely enjoyed by the students of grade VI, wherein their creative minds came together in a creative burst of energy. An amazing array of items was created using reusable and recyclable materials. It was amazing to see how scrap could be transformed into such useful and beautiful articles. The creativity and artistic streak of the children were observed.  Students of grade VII, jubilantly wrote powerful slogans, giving the message to keep the surroundings clean and save the planet, which drew an overwhelming response from one and all.  A cleanliness drive, under Swachh Bharath was undertaken by the energetic students of grade VIII with much excitement.The event proved as a great platform for the young hearts and minds to learn the values like preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce and reuse. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts made by the teachers and students. He said, “Present scenario seeks the change in our lifestyle. It is the moral duty of every resident of planet Earth to make it clean.”
