National Public School, Chikkabanavara has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. With the same perspective in view, the school organized a debate competition on 1^st of September 2017, at the school premises, for the students of class IX and X.

The topic of the debate was- ‘Demonetization is good for the country or not’- [For -Athena House, Against-Eos house] and ‘Gaming and Social Networking use and misuse’ –

[For- Eirene House, Against-Nike House ]

The representatives of the various houses spoke vehemently on the issue and came up with their perspective regarding the same. They cited reasons and supported them with suitable examples from real life, to justify their stand. All the teams exhibited great oratorical skills.

The judges for the day, Mrs. Beena, the Academic Coordinator of 1 and 2 wing and Mrs. Jaya, the Academic Coordinator of Pre-Primary wing were deeply engrossed in the ideas of the students, to the extent that they had to ask a tie breaker question in order to reach a concrete conclusion.

They adjudged the Eos house as first and Eirene house as second.

Speaking on the occasion they praised the school management and principal for designing such innovative topics which are so socially relevant.

The students of classes VI – XI, who were an audience to the show, thoroughly enjoyed the event.
