Teachers Day

“Teaching is not a service, profession or a job. It is the backbone of society”.

The day began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Dr.S.Radhakrishnan by the Principal Shri. Rajesh Pillai and the various department heads.

The 5th of Sept every year marks the birthday of one of the greatest philosopher, statesman and the most distinguished scholars India has ever produced Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.  He was the first Vice President of India, and later moved on to become our second president. It is on his birth anniversary that Teachers’ Day is celebrated.

He said, “The true teachers are those who help us think for ourselves”.

Students expressed their love and gratitude to their teachers through a cultural presentation. There were foot tapping and melodious songs sung by the Primary students. This was followed by a power packed and energetic dance performance by the students of Grade III-V.

To make the day special there was a friendly competition between the four houses depicting Guru Shishya relation. Each and every house put forward their best presentation showcasing the different aspects of  Guru Shishya relation.

This was followed by a dance performance by grade X and a Skit by Grade XI.

The celebrations came to a close with the proposal of the vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

It was a memorable and fun filled day. The teachers thoroughly enjoyed all the performances  and thanked all the students for their unconditional love.
