72nd India Independence Day was celebrated in National Public School on August 15th, 2018 in the school premises. The programme commenced at 8:30 am with the hoisting of the tricolor flag by the principal Mr Rajesh Pillai. National anthem was sung and the whole atmosphere was filled with sense of pride and patriotism.
The students then gathered in the auditorium for showcasing and witnessing the cultural events. The celebration started with a speech by Master. Bhuvan Anand Prabhu of KG1 followed by a patriotic song and dance by the children of KG2 and KG1. The performances by the little ones were really mind blowing.
An ‘Inter-house Dance Drama’ and a ‘Patriotic Group song competition’ for students of Grade 3 to 12.The event provided students of different house, an opportunity to showcase their talents and creativity. Mrs. Mary Thomas, the Academic Director gave an inspiring message and she urged the students to become ideal citizens of the country.
The show was also witnessed and highly appreciated by the Chairman Mr.Raja Reddy and CEO Mrs. Preethi Reddy. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.
