With the aim to foster a love for books and literature in students, the Literary Week activities are held every year.  The English Literary Week for the session 2017-18 was held between 23^rd and 25^th October ‘2017. The programme was inaugurated by eminent story teller, educator, children’s author and life coach Ms. Aparna Athreya. She also conducted a workshop for students of Grades 6-10, wherein she motivated and gave tips to students to work on building their vocabulary to further enhance their language skills. Ms.Aparna also highlighted upon myths and legends and how these have a telling influence on people even in the current times.

The students of Grades 3-10 had the opportunity to meet a popular children’s author Ms. Roopa Pai, whose national award winning book ‘Gita for Children’ is one of the current best sellers. She introduced students to her series of books, answered the different questions which students had and transported them momentarily into a fantasy land through some portions of her books.

The students were totally involved and participated very actively during both the sessions. The literary week concluding with the ‘DEAR’ programme –‘Drop Everything and Read’ which was on 25^th October ‘2017.
