71st Independence Day Celebrations

The 71st Independence Day was celebrated with much fervour and zeal in the school campus. The entire campus was draped in the colours of the tri-colour. The celebrations began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the director Mrs. Preethi Reddy followed by the National Anthem. The students moved to the newly built auditorium for the cultural events. The cultural event took to a great start with the tiny tots of Pre-primary for the dance on ”Little feet and little voice”. Grade I&II were dressed up as some of our great freedom fighters and spoke on their sacrifices. This was followed by a melodious and inspiring patriotic song presented by the students of Grade III, IV& V.  A dance drama depicting the sacrifice of our soldiers was beautifully presented which brought tears into the eyes of the audience. The boys of grade VI-VIII also gave a power packed inspiring dance performance showcasing patriotism and a Mexican dance.  There were a few inspiring speeches by the student and the co-curricular in-charge which were all inspiring and motivating.  Before the curtains came down to this memorable celebrations the students of the theatre club performed “Nukkad Natak” highlighting the responsibility of each citizen to promote their country. This was a reminder for each and very Indian to feel proud of being an Indian. It is also our duty to protect and save our nation from any kind of intrusion and contribute in the nation’s progress.  The programme was well appreciated by one and all.
